Bauchi Gov to empower physically challenged persons

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has promised to improve the living conditions of the people living with disabilities in the state through empowerment programmes.

The Governor disclosed this while addressing the group of People Living with Disabilities who visited him at the Government House Bauchi. He said the move by his administration was to assuage their suffering and to assist them in acquiring sound education.

Governor Bala who acknowledged their positive contributions towards the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last gubernatorial election in the state, enjoined them to key into the government’s poverty alleviation programme to enable them benefit.

Leader of the delegation, Malam Sa’adu Maijama’a said the visit is to register their support and loyalty to the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed for effective discharge of his responsibility.

He appealed to the Governor to give opportunity to members of the group in his administration to enable them contribute to the development of the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed had also condoled the member representing Ganjuwa East at the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Abubakar Garzali over the death of his wife, Hajiya Fatima Gazali.
