The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Idris has called on the Muslim community to support orphans and vulnerable children academically in the state.
He made the call during a lecture organised by the Muslims Charity Forum held at Central Mosque Conference Hall in Bauchi yesterday, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of giving back to the less privileged.
Imam emphasized the significance of charity in Islam and its impact on supporting orphans.
He commended the youths group for their initiative and appealed to wealthy individuals to support them in achieving their objectives.
Dr. Ahmad Yaro, chairman of the occasion and rector of the Oil and Gas Academy in Alkaleri, noted that orphans are often neglected and urged the Muslim community to change their attitude towards them.
He acknowledged the unwavering commitment of the forum in supporting orphans in the state.
National chairman of the Muslim Charity Forum, Ibrahim Abdullahi Adam, highlighted some of the forum’s activities, including scholarship programmes for orphans, lectures for Islamiyya students, and
feeding programmes during Ramadan.
He urged Muslims to extend their support to orphans and vulnerable children to give them a sense of belonging.
